PARTICIPATION DEMOGRAPHICS

The sport has an ideal image appealing to a broad sector of society. As such, the demographic profile of the Competitors and Owners is AB 63%, C1 37% and Spectators is AB 52% and C1 28%. In fact, the profile has the highest proportion of AB adult participants of any sport.

EVENTING INFORMATION:

Horse Trials provide a competition, which is the equestrian version of the modern pentathlon, requiring courage, determination and all round ability on the part of the rider and systematic training of the horse. Horse Trials are more popularly known as ‘Eventing’.

The equestrian sport of Eventing is one in which UK and Ireland is highly successful on the world stage and is one of the few in which women and men compete on equal terms. Each event involves professionals and amateurs (pro:am); even at the smaller events you will find world-class riders competing against amateurs. Ballygraffan will welcome both international and local riders to the event this year.
