BALLYGRAFFAN ON GOOGLE MAP INPUT - VIA LISBURN - FOR THE BEST ROUTE
From BELFAST
Take the Newtownards Road out of Belfast towards Newtownards, at the traffic lights at the Elk Inn take the Comber Road baring to the right, follow this road to Comber, then stay on the by-pass past Comber till you reach a roundabout. Turn right follow signs from Comber along the Killinchy Road towards Killyleagh, cars should follow signs to Castle Espie and you will see signs for the car park. (Horse Lorries should follow signs to Lorry Park)
WALKING
If you live nearby, why not leave the car behind. Walking from Comber
it’s about 2 miles along the Killinchy Road. Keep looking to the
left and you are sure to see the cross country jumps or the Dressage Arenas.
At the cross roads at the bottom of the hill turn left at Ballygraffan
Road, it’s a narrow lane so looks out for cars and Lorries. You
can enter the grounds via the gate nearest to the Marquee.
From BELFAST HARBOUR
Leaving ferry terminal follow signs for BANGOR, turning left each time.
This will lead you to a slip road onto a dual carriageway. After approx
1 mile, you see GEORGE BEST CITY AIRPORT (left). Move into outside lane
after airport and follow right-hand lanes to turn right following signs
for NEWTOWNARDS and COMBER.
After approx 500 yds follow the left lane that forks to the left onto a dual carriageway. Keep straight on over a roundabout (2nd exit) on to traffic lights at major junction and take left turn, this is UPPER NEWTOWNARDS ROAD, continue past STORMONT BUILDINGS (left), and STORMONT HOTEL (right). When the bus lane disappears, move into right-hand lane and follow signpost for COMBER at the second set of traffic lights, TURN RIGHT.
Continue along this road for approx 4 miles, ignoring signs for COMBER continue straight on to a small roundabout TURN RIGHT (3rd exit) and follow signs for BALLYGRAFFAN which is 1.25 miles on left.
From LARNE HARBOUR
Leaving ferry terminal follow signs for BELFAST. When approaching BELFAST on the M2 follow overhead gantry signs for BANGOR M3, that are right-hand lanes. This will take you over a bridge with views over BELFAST and city.
Continue past GEORGE BEST CITY AIRPORT (left). Move into outside lane after airport and follow right-hand lanes to turn right following signs for NEWTOWNARDS and COMBER.
After approx 500 yds follow the left lane that forks to the left onto a dual carriageway. To exit airport follow signs for BANGOR onto dual carriageway and immediately move to outside lane and follow right-hand lanes to turn right following signs for NEWTOWNARDS and COMBER.
After approx 500 yds follow the left lane that forks to the left onto a dual carriageway. Keep straight on over a roundabout (2nd exit) on to traffic lights at major junction and take left turn, this is UPPER NEWTOWNARDS ROAD, continue past STORMONT BUILDINGS (left), and STORMONT HOTEL (right). When the bus lane disappears, move into right-hand lane and follow signpost for COMBER at the second set of traffic lights, TURN RIGHT.

From DUBLIN
Via SAINTFIELD, BALLYGOWAN, COMBER
Follow signs for BELFAST to M1, on the M1,take a slip-road signposted LISBURN CITY CENTRE/SAINTFIELD which ends at a roundabout. Stay in right hand lane on slip road and follow this around roundabout to take 4TH EXIT signposted SAINTFIELD.
Continue along this road approx 2 miles and there will be a feeder road left for SAINTFIELD. TURN LEFT. Continue to major crossroads. Go straight at staggered cross-roads on to SAINTFIELD and BALLYGOWAN. Keep going straight until you reach SAINTFIELD where there is a mini roundabout. Go straight over along the main street to a set of traffic lights at the very bottom. TURN LEFT following the signs for BALLYGOWAN and COMBER.
Continue approx 1/2 mile and take right hand fork to BALLYGOWAN. Continue straight on to BALLYGOWAN and go straight on (2nd exit) following sign for COMBER. Keep going on to COMBER CENTRE were you will come to traffic lights at the bottom of the hill. TURN RIGHT. Follow signs for BALLYGRAFFAN approx 1.5 miles on left hand side and visible from the road.
